Add Resource

Add Resource Button

Click this button to open the Manage Resources window. Add files by clicking the Upload File button and selecting them from your computer. We recommend PDF and MP3 formats.

Manage Resources Window

The format of the file is shown on the left side of the window. The name and upload date are displayed in table format.

Manage Resources Window File Information
  1. Add to Assignment: Click this button to insert the file into the assignment. It will appear in the white rectangle work area.

  2. Delete: Click this button to remove the file from the Resource Manager.

Deleting a file from the resource manager (which also removes the PDF from the work area) does not alter the position or content of any of the answer boxes. Think of the PDF as an image over which the answer boxes are overlaid. The boxes themselves are the only criteria Rameau references when calculating grades.

Box Alignment

Multiple Boxes Selected

Select multiple boxes by clicking and dragging (i.e., marquee selection). If more than one box is selected, the panel shows options for alignment. Boxes can be aligned as follows:

  • Left aligned: all selected boxes will align to the left side of the selected box farthest toward the left.

  • Right aligned: all selected boxes will align to the right side of the selected box farthest toward the right.

  • Top aligned: all selected boxes will align to the top side of the selected box farthest toward the top.

  • Bottom aligned: all selected boxes will align to the bottom side of the selected box farthest toward the bottom.

The selected boxes from the image above have been top-aligned in this image.

Box Tool

Box Tool Button and Options

Click the Box Tool icon to load the cursor with an answer box. The box will take the width, height, input type, and color set in the panel. To load the cursor with a box that differs from the default settings, change the parameters in the panel before clicking the Box Tool icon. The following parameters can be changed:

  • Width: determines the width of the answer box (calculated in pixels).

  • Height: determines the height of the answer box (calculated in pixels).

  • Input Type: determines whether the box will require a typed answer or selection from a multiple-choice dropdown menu.

  • Color: Changes the color of the box.

Colors can be useful for differentiating answer types or criteria specific to an assignment (i.e., roman numeral analysis vs. cadence identification). See one of the example assignments for suggestions.
